Driving Licence Requirements
UAE Residents
Drivers holding a UAE residence or employment visa must present a valid UAE driving licence that they have held for at least 12 months.
Tourists and Visitors
Visitors holding a valid tourist or visit visa may use an eligible foreign driving licence from the countries and jurisdictions listed below, subject to the applicable recognition requirements.
Your original licence must be valid and issued in your country of residence. Please contact our team before booking if your nationality, country of residence and licence-issuing country differ.

Licences Requiring a Translation
Customers presenting driving licences issued in Japan, Turkey, Greece or South Korea must also provide a translation approved by the relevant embassy or consulate.
International Driving Permits
If your licence-issuing country is not listed above, please provide:
A valid International Driving Permit (IDP).
Your valid original national driving licence, held for at least 12 months.
An IDP must be presented together with your national driving licence; it cannot be used on its own.
Driving licence recognition requirements may change. Check the latest guidance from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) or the UAE Ministry of Interior, and confirm your documents with our team before travelling.
Passport and Visa Documents
UAE Residents
Please provide copies of your passport’s photo identification page and your UAE residence visa.
Tourists and Visitors
Please provide your valid passport and evidence of your valid UAE entry or visitor status.
